Prerequisite: Active GCLD Membership

Live Patient Course and Course Credits:

• Attend a Live Patient GCLD endorsed FELLOWSHIP course in laser dentistry.
• Obtain 50 hours of course credits from GCLD affiliated centres of excellence or approved courses.

Continuing Education (CE) Documentation:

• Submit completed CE forms and certificates.
• Provide additional documentation verifying course hours.

Clinical Case Submissions:

• Option 1: Submit documentation for 10 completed laser dental cases, including detailed outlines and photos.
• Option 2: Attend GCLD Live Patient program; case submission requirement waived.

Letters of Recommendation: Two letters from current GCLD Diplomates.

Publication: Author or co-author an article or case report on laser dentistry.

Experience: Practice laser dentistry for a minimum of 2 years.

Symposium Participation:

• Attend the Annual GCLD Symposium induction ceremony.
• Attend the annual symposium within 2 years of starting the Fellowship process.

Additional Continuing Education: Obtain an additional 50 hours of laser dentistry-related CE.

Final Steps: Submit 10 completed laser dental cases (if not already submitted).

Prerequisite: Active GCLD Membership and Fellowship

Submit Completed CE Forms: Provide completed 100 hours Continuing Education (CE) forms for each laser dentistry course attended.

Copy of Certificate of Completion: Include a copy of the certificate of completion for each course.

Documentation of Achieved Hours: Submit any additional documentation verifying the completion of the required 100 hours of laser dentistry training.

Submit 20 Completed Clinical Cases: Provide detailed documentation for 20 laser dentistry cases, including treatment outlines, clinical photos, and outcomes.

Successfully Pass the Mastership Multiple Choice and Oral Examination: Successfully pass the oral and written examinations for Mastership certification.

Provide One Letter of Recommendation: Obtain a letter of recommendation from a current GCLD Diplomate or Board member.

Submit Current Curriculum Vitae: Provide an up-to-date curriculum vitae detailing educational and professional achievements in laser dentistry.

Practice Laser Dentistry for at Least 3 Years: Demonstrate a minimum of three years of active practice in laser dentistry.

Attend the Annual Symposium Induction Ceremony: Participate in the Annual Symposium induction ceremony hosted by GCLD.

Prerequisite: Active GCLD Membership and completion of Mastership

Clinical Case Documentation – General Practitioners:

• Document a minimum of 25 laser dental procedures as a General Practitioner.
• At least 10 cases performed under direct supervision; each case awarded 10 points.
• Earn 200 CE hours by completing the full series of Advanced Laser Dentistry Modules from affiliated GCLD courses.

Clinical Case Documentation – Specialists:

• Document a minimum of 25 laser dental procedures.
• Each supervised case earns 10 points, similar to General Practitioner requirements.

Supervision Requirement: Perform laser procedures on at least one patient under the direct supervision of a GCLD Board of Directors member.

Part 1 – Written Examination: Successfully complete the Part 1 Written Examination covering theoretical knowledge and laser clinical protocols.

Part 2 – Oral Examination: Successfully complete the Part 2 Oral Examination demonstrating clinical competence and mastery in advanced laser dentistry.
